Heat
Nevşehir has a terrestrial climate, and summers are very hot. The annual average temperature is also different in the plains and mountainous regions. For example, while the annual average temperature is 9-10 °C in the triple centers located in the Kızılırmak valley, it is between 4-9 °C in the district of Derinkuyu, which is higher. In the central district, the coldest months are January and February, and the hottest months are July and August.
Precipitation
Since Nevşehir province is located in central Anatolia, which is closed to sea effects due to the northern and southern Anatolian mountain systems, precipitation is low. However, precipitation is abundant in the Kızılırmak valley and the slopes of this valley.
