Palace of the Four Winds, Warsaw

The Palace of the Four Winds, also known as the Tepper Palace, is an exquisite rococo palace nestled in the heart of Warsaw, specifically situated at ulica Długa (Long Street) 38/40.

Steeped in history, this magnificent architectural masterpiece dates back to around 1680 and is believed to have been designed by the renowned architect Tylman van Gameren.

Originally, the palace was commissioned by Stanisław Kleinpolt, a prominent high official and royal secretary, who sought to create a regal residence that would reflect his status and taste.

As time passed, the ownership of the palace changed hands, with subsequent buyers recognizing and appreciating its timeless beauty. In 1685, the palace was sold to Jan Dobrogost Krasiński, a notable figure in the cultural landscape of Krakow.

A few years later, in 1698, it found its way into the possession of Andrzej Chryzostom Załuski, another influential individual with a passion for arts and culture. Finally, in the early 18th century, the palace was acquired by the esteemed Bishop of Płock, Andrzej Stanisław Kostka Załuski, who contributed to its rich heritage.
