With two locations in greater Los Angeles, MOCA offers visitors a unique and immersive experience. The main branch, situated on Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles, is conveniently located near the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.
This impressive space not only houses a vast collection of contemporary artwork but also serves as a hub for artistic expression and cultural appreciation.
The Geffen Contemporary, originally intended as a temporary exhibit space, has now become a permanent fixture in the vibrant Little Tokyo district of downtown Los Angeles. This innovative space provides visitors with an unconventional setting in which to engage with contemporary art. Its unconventional design and thought-provoking exhibits make it a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and culture seekers alike.
In addition to these two locations, MOCA operated a satellite facility at the Pacific Design Center facility in West Hollywood between 2000 and 2019. This facility provided an opportunity for even more individuals to experience the richness and diversity of contemporary art.
As a proponent of contemporary art and culture, MOCA continues to push boundaries and challenge traditional notions of artistic expression. Through its thoughtfully curated exhibitions, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives, MOCA actively engages with the public, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for the arts.
With its commitment to showcasing innovative and thought-provoking artwork, MOCA has firmly established itself as a leader in the contemporary art world, attracting visitors from around the globe.
