South Korea

This era marked a significant point in the country’s history, where the earliest known Korean pottery dates back to around 8000 BC. As time progressed, so did Korea’s history, with the Neolithic period beginning after 6000 BC and followed by the Bronze Age around 2000 BC.

The Iron Age was also a significant period, estimated to have begun around 700 BC. However, it’s important to note that according to The History of Korea, supervised by Kim Yang-ki and edited by Kang Deoksang, Jung Sanae, and Nakayama Kiyotaka, the Paleolithic people were not the direct ancestors of the present Korean (Chosun) people.

Instead, their direct ancestors are estimated to be the Neolithic People of about 2000. This adds a layer of complexity to Korea’s history, showcasing the intricate web of stories and cultures that make up the nation’s past.
