Ireland

Packing for Ireland can sometimes feel like you’re packing for all four seasons. This is because you may indeed experience ‘four seasons in one day’. So, it’s always better to check the latest weather forecast and pack accordingly.

Ireland’s weather is always a hot topic of conversation among the locals, no matter the season. Summers are mild, with the temperature fluctuating between 16°C to 20°C. Winters are chilly, with the temperature usually between 4°C to 8°C. Spring is welcoming, with temperatures hovering around 10°C to 14°C. Ireland’s climate is not tropical, but it does have a charm of its own.

The difference in temperature between the north and south of the country can be noticeable. The south is generally warmer than the north. However, the west coast of Ireland receives significantly more rainfall than the east coast.

Therefore, when planning to head to the west coast, make sure you pack your raincoat and a few pairs of waterproof shoes. Strong winds and storms, especially in coastal Atlantic areas, are common. However, they can be breathtakingly beautiful to watch from the safety of your accommodation.
