Bristol Vacation Guide

After a night out, or if your hotel allows food delivery, you will also be able to find many takeaways in Bristol, with different variaties of food.

Recently named the UK’s greenest city, Bristol’s ethical diners sustain a higher-than-average number of vegetarian and vegan restaurants. Unsurprisingly, meat-free eats are especially prevalent in more bohemian areas, such as Montpelier and on-the-up South Bristol, with a smattering on Gloucester Road.

Eat a Pitta, which makes handmade falafel, hummus and salads, is something of a citywide institution, serving lunchboxes at locations including central St Nicholas Market.

However, some of Bristol’s standout restaurants are more out of the way, in areas where locals tend to live. Be sure not to overlook the leafy suburb of Westbury Park or tea-factory-turned-contemporary-arts-hub Spike Island, which have some of the best food in town.
