Seychelles Honeymoon Guide

Praslin Island, Seychelles

Praslin Island is the second-largest island in the Seychelles, lying 44km (27mi) northeast of Mahé, and is home to a series of stunning white-sand beaches as well as the magical Vallée de Mai.

Explore the magical Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site containing the unusual ‘coco de mer’ double coconut (photo) palm tree and three of the world’s rarest birds – the black parrot, fruit pigeon and Seychelles bulbul.

Discover idyllic beaches such as Anse Lazio, a perfect crescent of soft, fine-grained white sand fringed by stands of Takamaka and palm trees and offering perfect conditions for swimming and snorkelling.

Other gorgeous beaches on Praslin include: Anse la Blague, a secluded beach near the port that is ideal for snorkelling; Anse Volbert, a sheltered and gently shelving beach perfect for families; Anse Possession and Anse Georgette, both pretty beaches that are good for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling.

Praslin is located 34km northeast of Mahé.
