Contributing greatly to its creation, Kansai Electric generously contributed a remarkable 6.5 billion yen donation towards the museum’s construction costs.

Undoubtedly, this substantial investment has allowed the Osaka Science Museum to flourish, inviting visitors to explore the captivating theme of “The Universe and Energy.” Interestingly, this is not the first science museum to grace Osaka’s landscape.

Prior to the war, an equally captivating museum, known as the Osaka City Electricity Science Museum, opened its doors to the public in 1937.
