Gwangalli Beach, Busan

The Gwangalli Beach in Busan, South Korea, is a destination that simply cannot be missed. This beach is unlike any other in the area, as it sits inside a cove that is spanned by the Gwangan Bridge.

Covering a massive 82,000 square meters over a length of 1.4 km and a width of 25 to 110 meters, it offers plenty of room for beach-goers to relax and unwind.

The beach is in a curved half-moon shape, with fine sand that is perfect for sunbathing or taking long walks. Visitors can also explore the alleys next to the beach, which are filled with a great variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and nightclubs.

Due to its immense popularity, city officials are pushing for improved water quality around the beaches, so that visitors can enjoy a clean and safe swimming experience.

The beach is also conveniently located near the Busan Yachting Center, which was used for the sailing events of the 1988 Summer Olympics.
