Established by the Fine Arts Department in 1996, it is a place for people to explore and learn about the history, culture and art of Northern Thailand.
It houses more than a century of artifacts from various artists and crafts from different periods.
Visitors can find prehistoric artwork, sculptures, paintings and photographs depicting life in Chiang Mai during different eras.
The museum also offers educational programs and workshops to engage people in learning more about the cultural heritage of Northern Thailand.
