Administered by the municipal government of Rosario, this museum has been an integral part of the city’s cultural landscape since its creation in 1981.
Initially located at 1540 Oroño Bvld., it was meant to be the mayor’s residence but eventually became a museum – an interesting fact in and of itself! However, as interest in the museum grew, so did the need for a larger space.
In the 1990s, the museum was relocated to a building constructed in 1902 that had previously housed the park’s administration and the Gardener’s Apprentice School.
This gorgeous building adds another layer of history to the museum, creating an environment that is both educational and atmospheric.
With its fascinating exhibits, well-curated collections, and knowledgeable staff, The Museum of the City is the perfect destination for anyone interested in exploring the rich culture of Rosario.
