Marrakech Vacation Guide

Temperature-wise Marrakech’s climate resembles the one found in the interior of Andalusia in southern Spain, but precipitation-wise the city has far less rainfall, averaging around 280 milimeters annually.

Summers are long and hot with virtually zero rainfall and temperatures in July are usually well above 35°C (95°F) during the day but cool to around 20°C  during the night.

That’s why the city really comes alive after sunset. Heat waves hit Marrakech every year and some can be so hot that the mercury can climb above 45°C .

The record high is 49.6°C. Winters on the other hand are marked by drastic temperature variations. While the average high in January is 18°C, the average low is 5°C , meaning that all types of clothing will be needed if one intends to visit Marrakech during the winter.
